StressChron expands their current laboratory facilities with state-of-the art experimental fish facilities

Created by Johan Aerts | Press

StressChron is constructing unique experimental fish facilities to expand its research and create a full service for its customers.

To further expand its research and create a full service for its customers, experimental fish facilities are under construction and expected to be operational in the beginning of 2019. These facilities include, besides 2 separate quarantine systems, 24 experimental test tanks of 10 L, 20 L, 40 L, and 100L, respectively, all with an individual bio-filter as well as a specific sampling laboratory and will all operate according the criteria of the international standards 5S, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

These facilities will be unique as they will allow highly accurate quantification of for instance the effect of new molecules, feed constituents, probiotics, vaccines, etc. on the stress level experienced by the fish from this treatment or on the other hand when optimizing doses of specific substances or treatments in time in relation to the stress level present in fish.
